Ms Magali Patay has joined French National Railways (SNCF) as director of the cabinet of SNCF chairman and CEO, Mr Jean-Pierre Farandou. She has also taken on the role of director of territories, institutional relations and international affairs. In this capacity, she has joined the SNCF general management and executive committees.
The shareholders of transport authority Stuttgart Transport Association (VVS) have unanimously appointed Ms Cornelia Christian as managing director. Chairman of the VVS Supervisory Board, mayor of Stuttgart Dr Frank Nopper, says Christian has many years of management and leadership experience in transport operators and associations.
Mr Arnis Kākulis has been appointed to the supervisory board of RB Rail. He replaces the representative of Latvia, Mr Anrī Leimanis, who was appointed to the RB Rail management board as chief ESG officer and vice-chairperson.
Ms Merle Schmidt-Brunn will join the executive board of metro operator Hamburg Hochbahn on April 1, and on May 1 will take over as chief financial officer and chief sustainability officer. She succeeds Mr Helmut König, who will leave at the end of April.
Mr John Bridgman has been appointed chair of City Rail Link, which is taking forward the project to build the new line beneath Auckland. He replaces Sir Brian Roche.
The former chief executive of Auckland Transport, Mr Shane Ellison, and Mr Chris Aiken, a business leader with extensive experience in the property and urban development sector, have been appointed to the board of Auckland Light Rail.
