The trains will be based on the Coradia Polyvalent range, but will be unique to the CDG Express line with custom interior fittings and on-board information to improve the passenger experience.

The contract was awarded by the Hello Paris consortium of Keolis and RATP Dev, which secured the contract to operate the service in November 2018. The trains will be entirely designed and manufactured in France.

In May, France’s minister of transport announced a delay to the commissioning of the line until the end of 2025, to minimise the impact on commuters.
