Newag will provide a quality guarantee for five years and four months.

The EMUs will be able to carry 196 passengers, including 105 seated, at up to 160km/h. The vehicles will be equipped with Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, power sockets and USB ports. Features such as lifts for wheelchairs and a spacious interior layout will improve access for passengers with limited mobility. There will also be space to transport bicycles.

The Impulse 2 trains will be equipped with a passenger counting system, interior monitoring and a passenger information system.

Griffins

Five Griffin electric locomotives manufactured by Newag began ETCS testing on the Nowy Sącz - Legnica - Bolesławiec route on December 8. Following the factory acceptance, they will be delivered to PKP Intercity, which has ordered 30 new electric locomotives.

The locomotives can operate both passenger and freight services at up to 160km/h.
