The tender includes 80 economy-class coaches, 80 air-conditioned coaches, 30 parlour cars, 20 luggage vans and 20 brake vehicles.

The order will be split into two, with 46 vehicles delivered fully-assembled (CBU) while 184 will be delivered completely knocked-down (CKD) and assembled in Pakistan.

The tender was launched on January 21 and will be open until March 7. A pre-bid conference, which will be open to bidders who have purchased tender documents, will be held on February 12.
