The information is available on the Renfe website. The list of services is classified according to the level of service provided which ranges from light to heavy maintenance. Information is also available about each workshop and depot. Prospective customers can download a service request form as well as the catalogue and a price list.

Renfe says the conditions to access its services are set out in a “transparent, objective and non-discriminatory manner, providing new operators with the necessary certainty for the performance of their future railway operations.”

New operators will be able to use Renfe’s maintenance services or carry out maintenance themselves or through third parties.

Renfe has more than 3000 staff based at 106 repair facilities throughout Spain. Currently, Renfe maintains more than 1000 vehicles a year and overhauls another 300 vehicles.
