The wagons will be produced at UWC’s Tikhvin plant and will be shipped to the customer by the end of May.

The model 19-9549-03 hopper wagon has a volume of 120m3 which means it can carry fertilizers with various bulk densities, including those with a low density such as carbamide. The wagon has a 25-tonne axleload and can carry a 76 tonne load.

The hopper wagon has a dual-component coating to protect it from the corrosive effects of the fertilizer. The hatches are mounted onto adapters, which facilitates their replacement when necessary.

The hopper wagon is designed for a maintenance interval of eight years or up to 1 million km.
