The machine is one of 12 Unimat Combi 08-275 combined tamping and track geometry measuring machines being built for RFI. Plasser will also supply a 13th machine to RFI which will incorporate Plasser's new E3 hybrid electric drive concept.
Plasser hands over 16,000th machine to RFI
IRJ at IAF 2017, Münster: Mr Johannes Max Theurer handed over the 16,000th track machine built by Plasser & Theurer to the CEO of Italian Rail Network (RFI) Mr Maurizio Gentile at the International Exhibition for Track Technology (IAF) in Münster on May 31.
