DUTCH rail construction company Strukton Group and Oranjewoud, the company which owns Strukton, suspended their owner and CEO, Mr Gerard Sanderink, on March 17 following what the Strukton supervisory board describes as a “period of incidents involving Mr Sanderink.”

Sanderink is no longer allowed to make decisions regarding both companies and their subsidiaries and the Supervisory Board has taken over the management of these companies with immediate effect.

“The coming period is aimed at setting up the governance of the companies in a stable and future-proof manner and supporting employees to continue doing their work,” Strukton Group said in a statement.

The suspension of Sanderink follows a series incidents involving Centric, an IT company set up by Sanderink, and his first and second wives. The last incident occurred when Sanderink threatened the judges in a Dutch court.
