The MHC60 can self-unload into another MHC60 or directly into the right of way. The MHC60’s name comes from its 60 yard3 (45.87mᶾ) hopper capacity.

Loram developed the MHC60 to meet its customers’ requirements, following requests for a machine with an offloading conveyor that would not stall and could throw material far enough from the track to remove the need for secondary handling.

Loram says the MHC60 exceeds the standard industry throughput by up to 30% and can discharge material up to 20% further from the track centreline compared with other cars on the market. The offload rates and cast distances allow for quicker turns between filling and unloading leading to increased production for excavating equipment.
