Production will take part at Bryansk Locomotive Works, a division of TMH, with delivery due within 45 months. TMH will provide a warranty of 36 months or 440,000km.

The document was signed on January 25 by Bryansk CEO, Mr Andrei Vlasenko, and Tradex CEO, Mr Jose Antonio Garcia.

The locomotives will be shipped from the port of St Petersburg to Havana, and Russian engineers will assist with the introduction of the fleet into service.

TMH says the locomotives will have special corrosion protection to cope with the humid climate in the Caribbean. They will be used in both passenger and freight services.
