Bombardier developed a new double-deck train platform specifically for the tender at its site in Crespin, France. The trains will include a modular concept to meet the requirements of suburban, regional and inter-city services, while offering wide-body coaches to offer greater capacity and a high-level of comfort.
"The solution created by our engineers is a train which stands out by its width, capacity, comfort and polyvalence," says Mr Jean Berge, president of Bombardier Transportation France. "It will become a reference point and will support the regional rail transport development in our country."
Aquitaine, Brittany, Centre, Nord-Pas de Calais, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur and Rhone-Alpes have all placed orders for the trains with deliveries scheduled to begin in June 2013 and continuing until 
December 2015.
