ASTALDI, the Italian contractor working on the new 120km Saida - Moulay line in Algeria, has awarded the Bombardier led Site consortium a Euros 19 million contract to supply Bombardier's Interflo 250 ERTMS Level 1 signalling solution.
ASTALDI, the Italian contractor working on the new 120km Saida - Moulay line in Algeria, has awarded the Bombardier led Site consortium a Euros 19 million contract to supply Bombardier's Interflo 250 ERTMS Level 1 signalling solution.
Bombardier will be responsible for the design and supply of the signalling system, which will include Release 4 Bombardier EBI Lock 950 computer-based interlocking system, EBI Screen central traffic control centre, EBI Switch 500 point machines and EBI Track 2000 train detection system.
The contract is Bombardier's first ERTMS project in Africa. The company is currently delivering an interlocking system for Astaldi on the Tabia - Mecheria line.
