As part of the deal, Corus Rail will invest Euros 35 million to modernise its rail producing plant in Hayange, France, to enable production of 108m-long rails. "Being able to produce 108m-long rails puts us in a better position to supply the growing demand for high-speed lines," says Mr Gérard Glas, director general of Corus Rail, France. "By 2011, we will be among just a handful of producers with this capability."
