Overall passenger numbers on RZD infrastructure reached 1.155 billion last year, with volumes increasing 5.2% to 129.3 billion passenger-km. This includes a 5.7% increase in long-distance volumes, which reached 96.2 billion passenger-km, and a 3.7% rise in regional and suburban volumes, which reached 33.1 billion passenger-km.
Freight volumes on the RZD network rose to 1.29 billion tonnes or 3304 billion tonne-km.
Coal volumes increased 4.6% to 374.9 million tonnes, while metallurgical ores grew 5.7%, reaching 116.7 million tonnes.
