Due to open in 2022, the 42km double-track line from Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW Airport) and Shiloh Road in Plano will connect northern areas of Tarrant, Dallas, and Collin counties along interstate highway 635, one of Texas’ most congested road corridors.
The project is being delivered by a joint venture of Archer Western Construction and Herzog Contracting under a $US 783m design-build contract awarded by Dart in December 2018.
As principal design consultant, Jacobs will provide the joint venture with design and supervision services for track alignments, drainage, bridges, retaining walls, stations and signalling.
