MAV has operated hourly night services on the Budapest - Vác - Szob and Budapest - Cegléd - Szolnok lines since October, and on the Budapest - Esztergom line since December, with each service attracting 70 to 100 passengers. MAV says it expects this to double during the summer, and is now examining expanding the service to other lines.
MAV says the services provide a safer alternative transport home for passengers attending events late at night.
