From March 25 a daily service in will operate each direction between Monday and Saturday by extending a Barcelona - Valladolid train to serve Medina del Campo and Salamanca. The eastbound train will depart from Salamanca at 06.05, arriving at Barcelona Sants at 14.20. The westbound train will leave Barcelona at 14.10, arriving in Salamanca at 22.12.
A Sunday service will depart from Salamanca at 10.15, arriving in Barcelona at 18.35. Westbound passengers will still need to change at Valladolid on Sundays.
Media Distancia tickets will continue to be valid on the Valladolid - Salamanca leg.
The services will be operated by variable-gauge class 120 EMUs.
