Current trials are focusing on preliminary acceptance and safety assessments. Trials with rolling stock, which will operate at a maximum speed of 250km/h, simulating passenger services and acceptance of equipment commenced in November after tracklaying was completed in August.
The new Yuan 82.34bn ($US 12.61bn) line will reduce journey times between Yinchuan and Xi’an to 3.5 hours from 15 hours at present.
