The final two stations will be above ground on the alignment of the current tram Line 14.
The terminus at Káposztásmegyer will be an integrated transport hub with a new main line railway station as well as a new bus terminus and park-and-ride facility.
One of the intermediate stops will be at the current Rákospalota-Újpest main line station, where Park and Ride facilities will also be developed.
Planning will begin in June 2019 following completion of a public consultation which also includes options for a branch to the Rákospalota area of the city.
