The initial 11.1km section of Line 1 from Belapur to Pendhar is due to open in August 2020. Services on the 11-station elevated line will be operated by a fleet of eight three-car trains supplied by CRRC Zhuzhou.
Testing will initially take place on a 2km stretch of the line between the depot and Pendhar and will be extended across the remainder of the first phase by January.
