The €60m project was funded by SNCF and has taken three years to complete. The new concourse has two levels offering passengers a variety of places to eat and drink. There is also a business lounge and an area for children equipped with interactive games.
"Paris Gare de Lyon is one of the premiere stations in France," says Pepy. "Each year it welcomes 105 million passengers, and every two minutes a train departs serving destinations in the greater southeast, and major European links towards, Switzerland, Italy and Spain." Most long-distance services are operated by TGV.
