Miskolc Transport placed a Koruna 1.85bn ($US 93.4m) order for 31 of the five-section low-floor LRVs in February 2012. Škoda says at 2.65m wide, the vehicles are the widest it has ever produced. They can carry 52 seated and up to 220 standing passengers while the sets are fitted with air-conditioning and CCTV.
Delivery is scheduled for completion in February 2015 and Škoda will also maintain the vehicles under a 10-year service contract worth Koruna 175m.
