The Voith powerpacks will feature the new Voith R2876T3-390 horizontal six-cylinder diesel engine, which has single-stage turbocharging and selective catalytic reduction and provides an output of 390kW.
Arriva was awarded a 10-year contract in 2010 to operate regional services on non-electrified routes in Kujawsko-Pomorskie. The network serves around 100 stations and in 2010 carried three million passengers, operating around two million train-km. Arriva has ordered the 120km/h dmus from Pesa to operate services on an additional line near Szczecin which is being merged into the concession. The trains will enter service by the beginning of next year.
In addition to its contract with Arriva, Pesa has received orders for Link dmus from Regentalbahn, Germany, and Czech Railways (CD).
