SNCF to increase stake in Westbahn following EMU dispute
SNCF has announced that it will increase its stake in Railholding, the owner of Austrian open-access inter-city operator Westbahn, from 17.4% to 25.1%.

Train driver numbers in Germany rise, but shortage continues
GERMAN national pro-rail lobby group Allianz pro Schiene has published figures showing that the number of qualified train drivers in Germany have risen to nearly 47,000, a 12% increase over four years.
