São Paulo Metro Orange line project moves a step closer
THE government of the Brazilian state of São Paulo announced on November 11 that it will evaluate a deal over the next 90 days whereby Acciona, Spain, will take over a public-private partnership (PPP) project to build Metro Line 6-Orange.

Loan agreed to complete São Paulo monorail project
THE Latin American Development Bank agreed a Reais 1.2bn ($US 296m) loan to the Brazilian state government of São Paulo on October 7 to complete the first section of monorail Line 17/Gold of the São Paulo Metro.

São Paulo Metro begins studies to build Line 19
THE São Paulo state government has initiated steps to construct metro Line 19-Celeste (sky blue), with São Paulo Metro releasing bidding documents calling for studies and surveys that will outline the basic project.
