The four-axle utility track vehicle can be powered from 15kV 16.7Hz overhead or a diesel engine using the same drive system as Stadler’s EuroDual locomotive.
The launch vehicle is being supplied to Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and is fitted with ETCS Baseline 2.3.0d and Integra Signum with ETM-S signalling equipment.
The vehicle will be used to deploy track personnel, as a mobile workshop and to transport components using lifting devices mounted at the end of the vehicle.
The unit has a maximum speed of 100km/h, a 22.5 tonne axleload, and can operate in multiple. Harsco is also supplying a second diesel-only vehicle to SBB.
