Data from the train-mounted sensors will be combined with Perpetuum’s vibration engineering expertise and data analytics to provide SAR with real-time information on the condition of this line. SAR wants to develop its own maintenance knowledge and prioritise corrective work.

The North-South Railway runs predominately through desert with windblown sand and temperatures of up to 55oC.
