Ethiopian Railways Corporation (ERC) plans to set up a new corporation to enable Ethiopia and Djibouti to administer the new railway jointly in readiness for the start of commercial operation.
ERC also intends to launch an international tender to find a suitable foreign company to operate the new line for six years, after which ERC would take over the operation of the railway.
