MTR and CRC sign strategic cooperation letter of intent

MTR, Hong Kong, and China Railway Corporation (CRC) announced on December 16 that they have signed a letter of intent to explore potential areas of strategic cooperation within the mainland of China and internationally.

The letter of intent was signed at a ceremony in Beijing by CRC general manager Mr Lu Dongfu and MTR chairman Professor Frederick Ma, and was witnessed by MTR CEO Mr Lincoln Leong and MTR managing director Dr Jacob Kam.

The collaboration aims to focus on high-speed rail construction and railway operations, as well as the training of railway professionals. The two companies will enter separate cooperation agreements if they decide to proceed with specific projects.
