LATIN American Logistics' (ALL) intermodal subsidiary Brado Logistics has placed an order for 600 additional Spine Car 80 wagons from AmstedMaxion, which will take its total wagon fleet to 2300 vehicles.

Brado is implementing a Reais 1.2bn ($US 594m) investment programme, including the construction of terminals and acquisition of new locomotives and rolling stock, with the aim of increasing its share of Brazil's inland container market from 2% to 12%, equivalent to around 500,000 containers per year.

The operator expects to carry around 80,000 containers this year, compared with 50,000 in 2012.
