The new station will be built above the existing tracks and will integrate a bus station and a car park below. The concourse will be covered by a series of lightweight canopies which will rise in an arc over the station to a plaza and entrance to a park on the other side. The underside of the roof will be designed to reflect light down to the platforms below. The station's glazed facades will give passengers views to the mountains in the distance.
