SITURV, the public transport authority in the French city of Valenciennes, has awarded Paris Transport Authority (RATP) subsidiary RATP Dev a contract to operate the Transvilles light rail and bus network in Valenciennes and Porte du Hainaut.

RATP Dev expects the contract to generate revenues of €350m over its seven-year duration.

Valenciennes' 18.3km two-line LRT network has 48 stations and services are operated by a fleet of 30 Alstom Citadis low-floor LRVs.

Transvilles is currently operated by Transdev.
