BOMBARDIER announced on March 27 that it, along with its local partner Hartasuma, will supply 27 additional Innovia Metro 300 trains for the recently-extended Kelana Jaya LRT Line in Kuala Lumpur.

The Ringgits 1.7bn ($US 388m) order for Prasarana is expected to be completed in 2022, and the four-car trains are expected to move up to 30,000 passengers per hour, per direction.

Bombardier is already supplying 14 Innovia Metro 300 sets for the line under a contract awarded in March 2013.

Each train can accommodate up to 786 passengers. Final assembly will be carried out at the Westport facility of the Bombardier Hartasuma consortium.
