The first six-car train was unveiled on March 1 at Milan Central station and is expected to enter service on the Milan – Cremona – Mantova route in the middle of this month. The trains will also be introduced on Milan – Bergamo and Brescia – Milan – Treviglio services by June.

Trenord is currently renewing its rolling stock fleet with rolling stock on order from a number of suppliers. In addition to the Vivalto sets, Trenord is acquiring 30 Alstom Coradia emus and 19 AnsaldoBreda TSR double-deck emus together with four Flirt emus and five GTW dmus from Stadler.
