DB Network is planning to extend its remote point condition monitoring programme, connecting more than 12,500 point machines to the Diana monitoring and analysis platform, for which Strukton will deliver another 800 data loggers.

The data loggers were developed by Strukton in cooperation with DB Network will be rolled-out at locations across Germany. The loggers are based on the new nano POSS hardware platform, and are compatible with the DIR-ACS sensor Diana developed by DB.

The data loggers also meet requirements for open communication, supporting the OPC-UA protocol, which enables successful system integration of a wide range of systems with the common Diana platform.

DB Network intends to use the data and measurement results for preventive and predictive maintenance in order to improve customer satisfaction.
