THE supervisory board of DB Schenker has appointed Ms Christa Koenen as chief information officer and chief digital officer (CIO/CDO). Koenen will take up her new position on September 1. She joined German Rail (DB) in 2004, and most recently worked for IT subsidiary DB Systel. Koenen has also served as CIO of DB since 2018.
Ms Karen Carriere has joined Transportation Technology Center (TTCI) as executive director of technical services, and will oversee the Association of American Railroads (AAR) technical committees that develop, maintain, and enforce North American railroad interchange rules, mechanical standards, and component specifications.
Keolis has appointed Ms Annelise Avril as senior executive vice-president marketing, innovation and new mobilities, effective June 7, when she will also become a member of the executive committee.
Avril was previously group senior vice-president in charge of innovation, marketing, digital transformation and research at SUEZ. She succeeds Mr Jean Ghedira, who joins Crédit Agricole Group after 23 years in the public transport sector.
Mr Andrey Vasiliev is the new general director of Transmashholding (TMH) subsidiary Metrowagonmash (MVM). He will also continue as deputy for the development of urban transport at TMH. Vasiliev replaces Mr Boris Bogatyrev, who is now general director at LocoTech.
Wabtec has appointed Ms Wendy McMillan regional vice-president for Australia and New Zealand, effective June 15. McMillan joins Wabtec from Bombardier Transportation, where she served as president for Australia and New Zealand.
She previously served as CEO of the Rolling Stock Development Division for the Victoria state government and as a non-executive director of Queensland Rail.
Mr Uwe Leuschner has been appointed CEO of Eurasia rail transport company Felb with immediate effect. Leuschner will focus on business development and international relations. He was formerly senior vice-president business development Eurasia at DB Cargo, and has more than two decades of professional experience in the logistics industry.
