FRENCH National Railways (SNCF) passenger subsidiary SNCF Voyageurs and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) have renewed their cooperation under the Lyria brand for another five years, from 2023 to 2027.

Lyria, which is 74% owned by SNCF and 26% by SBB, operates 17 daily high-speed services using a dedicated fleet of 15 TGV Duplex trains between France and Switzerland over routes from Paris Gare de Lyon to Basel, Zürich, Geneva and Lausanne, as well as on the Geneva - Marseille route in the summer season.

Lyria reported a return to pre-Covid traffic levels in 2022 with slightly less than 5 million passengers using the service despite continuing to a operate a limited service in the first quarter.
