Wellington seeks funding for new bi-mode trains
GREATER Wellington Regional Council has endorsed a proposal that would see the New Zealand capital’s Wairarapa and Capital Connection fleets replaced with 15 four-car Bi-mode Multiple Units (BMUs).

Hitachi delivers new intercity trains for south west England
August saw another milestone in the modernisation of the Great Western Railway fleet with the introduction of new bi-mode class 802 trains on services from London to Cornwall. Keith Barrow was on the inaugural run.
