LITHUANIAN passenger operator LTG Link has rebranded its traukiniobilietas.lt online ticketing site to ltglink.lt, with the new site providing enhanced travel planning tools and access to information for its users buying tickets for travel within Lithuania.

The introduction of smart ticketing was one of 10 commitments announced in July 2020 when Lithuanian Railways announced it was renaming and restructuring its business.

The new site displays more detailed information about journeys, available connections and onboard facilities. The website also features an online chat to allow passengers to contact customer services; facilities for users with special needs, including customised reading features and the ability to book onboard spaces for wheelchairs or guide dogs; and discounts for group travel.

All administrative services, such as billing, refunds and the issuing of group tickets can be completed more quickly than before, with season tickets activating on the same day. Passengers can also change or cancel their travel arrangements up to four hours prior to travel.

The new website was created by Turnit OÜ, Estonia, based on its Turnit Ride platform, and is designed to accommodate new features over time. Turnit is developing an LTG Link mobile app which both companies say will be launched “in the coming months.”
