Verification testing at Miurakaigan station on the Keikyu Kurihama Line is being funded with the aid of a technology grant from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Tourism’s Railway Bureau.
The test installation will be the equivalent length of one vehicle, and testing will focus on the interface system, which relies solely on platform equipment to operate the doors, with no need to modify rolling stock. The trials will also validate the performance of the doors under actual operating conditions.
