Chilean State Railways awards contract for six EMUs
CHILEAN State Railways (EFE) has selected a consortium of CRRC Sifang and Temoinsa Chile as the winner of a $US 70m contract to supply six four-car bi-mode electro-diesel multiple units.

New metro lines open in two Chinese cities
CHENGDU Metro and Ningbo Rapid Transit opened new metro lines on September 27. Chengdu opened the 48.2km initial section of Line 18, while Ningbo inaugurated an extension to Line 3.

CRRC successfully tests 600km/h maglev train
CHINA successfully completed low-speed dynamic testing of a 600km/h prototype maglev car developed by CRRC Sifang on a test track at Tongji University in Shanghai on June 21, a milestone for the project launched in June 2016.
