Thameslink operator sanctioned for timetable chaos
BRITAIN’s Department for Transport (DfT) has cut Govia Thameslink Railway’s (GTR) franchise profits and instructed it to make £15m of passenger improvements for its role in the huge disruption to services following the introduction of a new timetable in May, which sought to introduce a large number of new services on the cross-London Thameslink network.
