Bombardier’s delivery schedule for Abellio’s delayed EMUs “unrealistic”
BOMBARDIER has promised to provide the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport and Abellio Rail Baden-Württemberg (ABRB) a binding, feasible delivery schedule by the end of January for the 21 delayed Talent 2 EMUs on order, after ABRB said it was not confident the vehicles would be delivered within Bombardier’s previous delivery timetable.

Abellio refused three-year extension to ScotRail franchise
ABELLIO's ScotRail contract is to be terminated in 2022 and it will not be granted a three year extension, Scottish transport secretary, Mr Michael Matheson, confirmed on December 18.

Bombardier train delivery delays affect Baden-Württemberg operators
LATE delivery of new EMUs by Bombardier to Abellio and Southwest German Transport (Sweg) will mean several new operating contracts in Baden-Württemberg, which are due to begin on December 15, will launch without the new fleets ordered by operators on behalf of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport.

Abellio subcontracts DB Regio for S-Bahn services due to driver shortage
ABELLIO Rail, a subsidiary of Netherlands Railways (NS), has announced in the Official Journal of the European Union that it has subcontracted DB Regio to operate Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn Line S3 (Oberhausen - Essen - Hattingen) between December 15 and March 1 2020.

Bombardier wins East Midlands train maintenance deal
ABELLIO, which took over the operation of the East Midlands Railway (EMR) franchise in Britain on August 18, together with rolling stock leasing company Eversholt Rail, have awarded a £133m three-year contract to Bombardier to maintain the fleet of class 222 200km/h DMUs.
