OPEN-access operator FlixTrain has submitted a request to French rail regulator Arafer seeking train paths on five routes, where it plans to compete with incumbent operator SNCF Mobilités.

Thello plans open-access Milan - Paris HS service
THELLO, a subsidiary of Italian national passenger operator Trenitalia, is seeking approval from the French Rail Regulator Arafer to operate two high-speed service per day between Milan, Turin, Lyon and Paris starting in June 2020.

Flixtrain launches third train service in Germany

Open-access London - Cardiff service proposed
GRAND Union Trains, which was set up in 2018 by Mr Ian Yeowart, has applied to Britain’s Office of Road and Rail (ORR) to operate an open-access passenger service between London Paddington and Cardiff in competition with franchisee Great Western Railway (GWR).
