Varberg Tunnel design contract awarded
SNC-Lavalin group subsidiary Atkins has been awarded a contract to deliver detailed design and construction support for the 3.1km Varberg tunnel in Sweden, as part of the project to double-track the 300km West Coast Line between Gothenburg and Lund.

Trafikverket awards Varberg - Hamra track-doubling contract
SWEDISH infrastructure manager Trafikverket has awarded Implenia a SKr 3.5bn ($US 360m) contract to construct a new double-track line between Varberg and Hamra on Gothenburg - Lund West Coast Line, including the construction of a new 2.8km tunnel under the town of Varberg.

Vossloh signs €100m framework agreements for switch components
VOSSLOH has signed multi-year framework agreements in Sweden and Italy worth €100m. Vossloh will supply switch components to Swedish infrastructure manager Trafikverket, as well as switch components and systems for high-speed lines to Italian infrastructure manager Italian Railway Network (RFI).
