German regional associations support Swedish night train plan
GERMAN passenger association Pro Bahn and lobby group Verkehrsclub Germany (VCD) North have issued their support for the Swedish government’s plans to introduce overnight trains through Germany, calling on the state of Schleswig-Holstein and regional transport authority NAH.SH to do the same.

THE driver of the Caledonian Lowlander sleeper service had lost all control of the coach brakes due to a closed cock when the train overshot its platform by 650m on August 1 2019, an investigation has found.

A new national timetable was introduced in China on December 30 2019 which increases the number of passenger trains by 263.5 per day to reach 4816.5 daily round trips.
