THE first train for the inaugural metro line in the Chinese city of Urumqi was unveiled at CRRC Corporation’s plant in Zhuzhou on November 1.
CHINA’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has approved the second phase of the metro networks in cities of Urumqi and Xiamen, representing a total investment of Yuan 133.9bn ($US 20.1bn).
URUMQI Urban Rail Group has awarded CRRC Corporation subsidiary Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive a contract to supply 27 six trains for the Chinese city's first metro line.
