Opening of Semmering Base Tunnel delayed
AUSTRIAN Federal Railways (ÖBB) has announced that the opening of Semmering Base Tunnel will be delayed by a year as geological problems in the northern section of the tunnel excavations cannot proceed as planned. Opening is now expected in 2027.
