HSTs to transfer from LNER to East Midlands Railway
AN agreement has been reached between East Midlands Railway (EMR), London North Eastern Railway (LNER) and Britain’s Department for Transport (DfT) to transfer nine 200km/h diesel HST trains from LNER to EMR.

£3.5bn Midlands Engine Rail programme unveiled
MIDLANDS Connect has unveiled the Midlands Engine Rail programme, a £3.5bn blueprint to improve rail connectivity in central Britain consisting of seven projects, including the £2.02bn Midlands Rail Hub announced in June.
